Water Quality

  • Our qualified biologists take water samples annually to measure the health of our lakes.
  • Data is collected on dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll-a, phosphorus, temperature, and water clarity. The database is maintained over time and evaluated for trends.
  • Healthy lakes have heathy plant life; we monitor the diversity of plant life in participating lakes.
  • Healthy lakes have healthy shorelines; we encourage best practices in maintaining a natural shoreline and keeping woody debris in the water for fish habitats.
