Support Local Conservation While Enjoying a Great Day of Golf

The Invasive Species Control Coalition of Watersmeet (ISCCW) invites golfers, businesses, organizations, and community members to participate in the 2026 GOLFING for a LAKE outing. This event brings together residents, visitors, lake property owners, and outdoor enthusiasts to support the protection of the waterways and lands that make the Watersmeet area such a special place.

Proceeds from this outing help fund ISCCW's efforts to prevent the spread of invasive species through education, monitoring, outreach, and stewardship programs throughout Watersmeet Township and the surrounding lake communities.

Events such as this also assists the ISCCW in maintaining the boat inspection/boat washing program that is offered for all water recreationalists at seven boat landings in the Watersmeet area.

In 2025, 18,733 people were seen by our boat inspectors.  These gentlemen power washed 7,269 watercrafts during last year’s recreation season.  Their work continues to provide awareness of the fight to control aquatic invasives in the local waterways.

Whether you choose to join us on the course, or support the event as a sponsor, your participation helps to preserve the natural resources that define our beautiful area.

Event Information

  • September 20th, with a shot gun start at 10:00 AM
  • Individuals and groups of all sizes are welcome. A foursome is not required.
  • Northern Waters Casino Resort Golf Course in Watersmeet, Michigan
  • $75 per golfer

Golfers of all skill levels are welcome to this fundraising event. Registration includes green fees, cart, event activities, grab and go boxed lunch, and the 19th Hole Reception at Clubhouse Bar, immediately following play (approximately 4:00 p.m.) Awards, Raffles, and Drawings .  All are welcome!

One lucky golfer could win $10,000 in this year's Hole-in-One Contest!
